Other members of our family

The first four-legged member of our family has joined us in 1996 just like a small snowball. A three months old Pyreneean Sheepdog, perfectly white. It was a late gift for my birthday. He was sitting on a new-zealand white sheep skin in the living-room to feel the heat of something furry. He was taken away from his mother too early. But this was something I was going to find out a bit later.

We used to keep in touch only by eye-contact. He was the perfect dog, a perfect watchdog and a helpful friend every time we needed him. Our kids grew up together and he was playing hide-and-seek with them. Practically he was a four-legged parent and friend for them.

Nowbody was safe to touch our kids if we were not there. Our kids now, can “communicate” with animals because of him.

As he entered the garden, Elco has been “taken over” by him and he started to educate him just as he used to be. Whento bark and when not, who’s a friend and who’s a stranger.

Unfortunately on the 5th of April, 2009 Athos passed away and left a big gap in our souls. Rest in Peace my friend!
